It's sunnier right now, but this morning the sky was still a blur of white, and all the plants were coated with ummm... rime? Or maybe it's hoarfrost, but either way it was super pretty.
Yesterday evening, I was taking some pictures before and after math class. I don't know if the math department has a building of their own at the university, but the class I'm taking is in the Bowman-Oddy Laborotories. Bowman-Oddy primarily houses the earth sciences department and connects to the pharmacy building. The picture above is from the roof of the parking garage. I always park on the roof because it's usually empty at that time of day, and I can pull up right next to the stairs.
My friend Tosha's in my math class, and that's about the only class I really have a friend from outside of school in, so I always look forward to it. The class starts about a half hour after I pick Tosha up from work, so we have time to wander around the building. Monday, we noticed that a starfish in one of the first floor saltwater aquariums had a big cut, and worse, that one of the fish (a porkfish or something) was biting at it. Yesterday, we couldn't find the starfish in the tank, which was sad. The picture is of one of the shrimp in the tank.
Here's the only actual fish in the tank who was even remotely interested in posing for a picture. The tank's not very bright, so all the other fish, especially the bully porkfish were moving too fast for pictures. I don't remember what kind of fish this is.
The moray, in another tank, was hanging out too close to the glass for my camera to focus on. He was snapping at us. As if he could do anything. Hah! We are too powerful for you, sea-worm!
The aquarium tanks house the only living creatures on that level, but there are plenty of other specimen cases.
After school, we went to open mike night at a coffeeshop nearby to hear my friend Josh play. Josh is the one in the fine blue sweater. It was the first time I had actually heard him play. I had gone once before to see him, but had come too late. This time, I came early, and he was good. The girl Josh has a crush on, who plays keyboard and who may or may not be 16 years old, didn't make it out.
